Freeski
The Red Mountain Freeski Academy is dedicated to providing a competition based ski training program. There are three main disciplines focused on within the Academy ciriculum; moguls, terrain park and big mountain skiing, all with a strong emphasis on mountain safety.

Moguls
Training is focused around the development of basic skiing skills blending these to ski efficiently through naturally formed mogul runs, progressing towards constructed competition style mogul lines. Mogul skiing has the longest history of active freestyle ski disciplines. Competition options are vast with several comps being offered through southern BC.

Terrain Park
Nearly every ski resort today has a terrain park that consists of at least a few jumps. Red Mountain Resort's terrain park grows and improves each year, athletes will have the opportunity to not only ride the park but also help with building and maintenance. Competition formats include rail jams, slope style and big air. **Note - slope style was recently named an Olympic sport.

All Mountain
Red Mountains off piste freeski terrain is world famous, playing host to some of the first and latest big mountain freeski comps. The huge variety of challenging terrain at Red provides an excellent training environment for junior freeski comps. Young athletes from Red Mountain are becoming a familiar sight on the podium. Current competition venues include Red Mountain, Lake Louise, Whistler, Fernie, Kimberley and several resorts in the North West States.
