The Academy operates within the public school system in one of BC's top achieving schools and school districts. Operating under principles of choice and flexibility, Academy teachers work closely with coaches to ensure time for training and learning is optimized. The latest technology in online education helps athletes continue their studies even when competing away.

Student athletes work closely with dedicated academy teachers who individualize courses of instruction for students according to the student's specific needs. Teachers utilize a variety of strategies to help students meet their academic goals.

The latest in educational technologies forms a vital component and allows students to continue their studies uninterrupted regardless of whether they are at school studying, or away as part of their racing schedule. Though the students gain the needed flexibility in self paced programs, their progress is closely monitored by qualified teachers who are ready to assist students at any point. Students have a number of options available including a full slate of elective courses and traditional classroom settings during the non-competitive season. This level of customization comes after consultation with the student and their parents.
